So has anybody actually found a solution to this problem yet? Hope im not necro posting but I really want to know also. Ive tried practically everything on all eight pages in this thread and still nothing works for me. My problem happens just right after the game loads to 100%. Then it kicks me back to my desktop and displays the message "gta_sa.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience." I get the same message with the gta_sa_compact.exe file to.

My only assumption now is that I simply have a bogus/defective copy of San Andreas that flat out will not work with Cleo 3. And yes I doubled checked and it is V1.00. Not sure if its a US copy but it only gives you English/Spanish languages so im assuming its got to be a US version. Still its a darn shame because that's the whole reason I got the PC version of San Andreas was to mod. If somebody else has a solution to this. Or has this exact problem I am having then im all eyes.
