Girlfriend Problem

My 21 year-old brother plays GTA San Andreas and so do i. we agreed to install CLEO 3 but when he goes to date one of the girlfriends he waits but no one comes out. After a few seconds the screen goes back to normal and it says "Your girl wants to go dancing" or any other message, but the it says' You've abondoned your Girlfriend. The date is over. " HELP????!!!!

Gotta say I lauged hard when I saw the topic name "Girlfriend Problem" smile

1. Never noticed these problems myself (I have no girlfriend issues because I perfer not to get involved, hehe).

2. Try removing those mods again and testing, just for certainty.

3. Try downloading CLEO 4. It's got all the supremeness of CLEO 3 x2. CLEO 3 mods are still fully supported and it might fix your problem, who knows...

I don't see how CLEO alone can cause the problem you described.

Whenever i have Cleo 3 installed, I can't date girlfriends. It says "You've abandoned your girlfriend. The date is over." and all i did was walk into the marker. Even with no mods installed, it does that. I Have 23 scripts right now. I'll try CLEO 4.

CLEO 4 still doesn't fix the problem. Like i said, even with no mods, it still does it.

Do you have the original main.scm (3,079,599 bytes) installed?

Why do you think it's a CLEO bug? Does it appear without CLEO being installed? I've read about similar glitch in the original game, but cant remember where.

I think it's a CLEO bug because when i fresh install GTA SA, i get a save from GTA Garage, I date a girlfriend it works fine, I install CLEO 4, no mods, walk into girlfriend marker, cutscen comes and she doesn't come out of the door, then it says "You've abandoned your girlfriend. The date is over." With mods, same thing. That is why i think it's a CLEO bug. Can ANYONE date girlfriends with CLEO 3 or 4?

I think EVERYONE can date girlfriends with CLEO 3 and 4... Both in the real and gaming worlds.

Yes, I often tested the girlfriend features inclusive a lot cleo 3 scripts (but cleo4 is not my thing)
I assume that cleo scripts which includes Global variables cause failures

Even with no mods installed, it does that. I Have 23 scripts right now

But if you loaded a savegame which was done while cleo scripts was inthere you can get problems,
for example if you removed a script which was available by saving
So load a savegame which was done before you installed cleo.
and if you wanna make then a savegame with your 23 scripts, i'm shure, any of these script will cause a failure.

Perhaps you didn't get rid of all CLEO mods when you tried fresh-installing and installing CLEO4 without mods. Try it again, this time, remove all contents of the CLEO folder including the .cleo ones, and see if you still get the problem.

Yup. Is Vista the problem? I have an XP computer but there is no audio card so i can't play SA.

It's a bit paradox, you can't play SA but got rid of all cleo scripts?
You don't need a audio card, normaly every PC of this century have a sound chip on mainboard.
It requires that you can play SA to can discuss your problem.
If you just talk about the pc of your brother so we're not interessed about the system of your machine

Maybe another case where Vistas AUC VirtualStore is keeping hidden CLEO Scripts installed on your system.

Read the topic at the link I posted.

UAC Virtual Store keeps CLEO Scripts even if you uninstall the game etc.

I play GTA San Andreas on Windows Vista and I have to run it as Administrator. I can date all my girlfriends, first with CLEO3, then with Hot Coffee, and now with CLEO4 and Hot Coffee. Perhaps installing Hot Coffee helps?? dunno, but i don't think the problem is in CLEO.
